Safety in construction sites or any other work involving heavy equipment and people in risky situations deserves full attention, since accidents in this area can have serious consequences or even be fatal. Care must be taken to eliminate risks to everyone who handles equipment on construction sites and who is present in such environments.
Even with the use of quality equipment, employee training is essential. Training should take place before activities begin, informing about working conditions and the work environment, the risks inherent in the tasks, the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and information about Collective Protective Equipment (CPE). This training occurs whenever necessary or at the beginning of each phase of the work. Copies of the procedures can help to instill these precautions into the worker's daily habits. This training is mandated by NR 18 in its item 18.28, which considers this procedure essential for worker safety.
There are 3 types of training, which are:
- Performed by the contracting company before the worker begins their duties.
- Performed whenever necessary to reinforce or alert workers at the beginning of different stages of the work.
- This training is conducted to qualify workers for specific tasks required by the NR (Brazilian Regulatory Standard).
