Because versatility is one of its hallmarks, ROHR offers technology and engineering solutions for the most varied market needs, whether in infrastructure, industry, large events, or buildings. Since the beginning of 2019, the company has been participating in another major challenge, this time in Brasília, in the Federal District. This involves the construction of ID Design – Residencial 303K Noroeste, a high-end residential real estate development, a project developed by ECAP Engenharia together with Mônaco Empreendimentos e Participações.
With delivery scheduled for December 2021, the project is currently in the final stages of its structural phase. When completed, the building will have a total of nine floors, comprising seven stories and one basement, distributed across 2.730 m². ROHR is involved in this project, contributing its expertise in metal bracing technology for columns, as well as metal formwork for beams and slabs, and the supply of special metal formwork. This technology makes all the difference in the final project outcome.
Among the main equipment used in the service, ROHR participated with the ETEM Tower System, a technological solution for tower shoring with high load capacity. Among its competitive advantages, this system has few interlocking parts, which speeds up assembly and disassembly during operations, something capable of reducing the number of losses during the execution of the work.
HF formwork was also used in the construction. It is a lightweight concrete formwork system that is so practical it can be handled by just one professional. With few parts, one of its main advantages is its high efficiency in assembly and disassembly. Its steel contact surface allows for numerous reuses without compromising the excellent finish on the concrete.
To get an idea of the project's dimensions, it's enough to note that ROHR supplied aluminum beams, model EAV18, and metal beams, model VI 7,5. For the metal shoring of the structure, more than 89,6 tons of equipment were used, including the ETEM System, shoring, and accessories. For the concreting of the retaining walls, another 44,5 tons of formwork were needed.
The company also presented solutions for the formwork of slabs and beams with a combined supply from Torre ETEM, in addition to providing shoring, jacks, and metal bracing for the pillars. Aluminum beams were used for the main beam structure of the building, and metal beams for the secondary beam structure. The project also benefits from the supervision and technical assistance of ROHR professionals, guaranteeing experience and knowledge with 57 years of quality and recognition in the market.
