If we were to imagine a list of the most remarkable buildings in the city of São Paulo, the Luz Station would certainly have its place guaranteed. Located in the Luz neighborhood, in the square that bears the same name, the building was inaugurated in 1867 and, currently, is part of the daily life of a large part of the city's population, being a station that carries the history of São Paulo and its inhabitants.

To always provide the best possible service to everyone who uses the station's services, it is necessary to ensure that the building is always in good condition. For the cleaning work on some of its structures, ROHR supplied the Genie Z80/60 equipment, a flexible and easy-to-operate aerial work platform.

The equipment had to undergo a different, unprecedented relocation. Upon arriving at the Barra Funda train station (CPTM) via flatbed truck, it was unloaded from the freight car and, using an overhead crane, placed on a passenger boarding platform to participate in the cleaning of the stained glass windows and metal structures of the site.

The distance from the overhead crane to the boarding platform did not allow the equipment to be removed from the truck and placed directly back on the train car. Several maneuvers were necessary, coordinated by a competent and trained professional from the ROHR technical team. The entire operation was carried out by competent and qualified professionals from the ROHR technical team and monitored by the CPTM security department.

The maneuvers required made locating the equipment quite a challenge. After the completion of the entire project, there is always a sense of accomplishment on the part of everyone who contributed during the work. We hope that there will be no shortage of challenges overcome in each new project!
