ROHR participates in the construction of FGV's new building in São Paulo.

With its expertise in construction and access engineering, ROHR is taking on another challenge, this time in the construction of a new building for the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in São Paulo. Regarding the specifics of the construction, the structure on site features a flat slab with prestressed beams. The building has an external pillar inclined towards the exterior of the building, which increases the slab area with each floor. ROHR's work included the construction of a large shaft with capacity for five elevators.
For the slab construction, ROHR provided a shoring solution using ETEM Towers, a structure with a higher load capacity and fewer interlocking parts, which speeds up assembly and disassembly, reducing losses during construction. Due to the size of the slabs and beams in the new FGV building, we optimized the use of the towers' capacities. To complete the shoring, we used V7,5 steel beams and VA18 aluminum beams. Shoring with ETEM is excellent for building and infrastructure projects where the most robust structural elements require a more resistant and versatile system.
Ideal for overcoming greater heights, the AluROHR shoring system was used to reshore the double-height abutment. The AluROHR is a lightweight aluminum device that is easy to apply and has a high load capacity.
Also used were lightweight HF formwork, equipment that reduces wood consumption and contributes to better structural execution by offering faster, lighter assembly (it can be handled by just one person) and a better finish. Its steel contact surface allows for numerous reuses without compromising the excellent finish on the concrete.
The FGV project also featured the Kibloc access staircase, which has distinctive protective railings with integrated baseboards, as well as interlocking flooring for faster assembly and disassembly. Another ROHR solution that makes all the difference for its clients.
