Works of the Heart
As part of the celebration of ROHR's 60th anniversary, some of our employees chose a project they worked on as their favorite for this initiative, which was affectionately named Works of the Heart.
Engineer Márcia Tiemi Watanuki, our Senior Project Coordinator in São Paulo, has been with ROHR for 35 years and offered us this video as her heartfelt project!
“Choosing just one Work of the Heart was very difficult! But I chose the work on the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida (in Aparecida/SP). This work began in 2019, with the scaffolding on the north facade, and continued in 2022, with the south facade.
It was a scaffolding structure assembled from tubular clamps, approximately 40 meters high.
It was very rewarding to work on this project because it allowed me to see the artists' work up close, the mosaics on the facade, and to see this beautiful result today. For these reasons, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida is my "Work of the Heart."
