With a long tradition in the industry, infrastructure sector, and major events, ROHR has always been recognized for bringing cutting-edge technology to meet engineering challenges. This is no different in the building sector, where we stand out with innovative solutions that make a difference for our clients. This is the case, for example, with the construction of a high-end residential real estate development being built in Brasília, Federal District, in a project by FX Participações e Investimentos.
With a projected duration of two years, the project began in 2020 and is currently in the structural phase. When completed, the building will have a total of nine floors, distributed across 737,7 m². ROHR is responsible for all solutions for metal bracing of columns, as well as metal formwork for beams and slabs, and the supply of special metal formwork. We are also present with all our knowledge and expertise to guarantee the best results in the project.
The list of equipment used by ROHR in its services includes the ETEM Tower System, a solution for tower formwork that provides high load handling capacity. One of its major advantages is that this technology has few interlocking parts, which speeds up assembly and disassembly during all operations. This reduces losses during construction, which in turn translates to significant time and resource savings.
The residential construction also utilizes HF formwork. Here, the competitive advantage lies in a lightweight concrete formwork system. Its practicality is such that this equipment can be handled by just one professional. It's a technology with few parts, offering high efficiency in assembly and disassembly, one of the main qualities this system offers. Due to its steel contact surface, numerous reuses are possible without compromising the concrete finish.
Some figures are enough to understand the size of the project and its challenges. ROHR supplied 424 meters of aluminum beams, model EAV18, and 786 meters of metal beams, model VI 7,5. The metal shoring for the construction includes 14 tons of equipment, including props, accessories, and the ETEM System. The concreting of the retaining walls alone required 7,7 tons of formwork.
The project also features ROHR technology in the formwork for the slabs and beams, with a combined supply from Torre ETEM. The company provided shoring, jacks, and the metal bracing for the pillars. The main beam structure of the building was erected with aluminum beams, while the secondary beam structure was made with metal beams. The project has supervision and technical assistance from ROHR professionals, ensuring knowledge and experience with 57 years of market recognition.
