The CARRELONE is a gantry crane on tires that is used in pairs for the longitudinal transport of precast beams when the fabrication yard is far from the launching site.
Thus, its function is to reduce the distance that the SICET Launching Truss has to travel to retrieve the precast beam.
The gantry crane is equipped with a hydraulic system for lifting beams and guiding the entire assembly, beam plus gantry, and is towed by a tractor unit or equivalent.

Benefits
It allows for the construction of precast beam yards located away from bridge and viaduct abutments, when it is not possible to build the yard's construction site next to the abutments.
It is used to transport precast beams over the deck of already concreted bridges or viaducts, up to the 4th or 5th span prior to the beam launching span of the SICET Launching Truss, thus reducing construction time and costs.
