The "Adopt a Bed" project aims to ensure the sustainability of the Geriatrics and Palliative Care Unit at the Rio Preto Base Hospital, benefiting thousands of elderly people in situations of social vulnerability and guaranteeing the capacity to offer specialized beds for their care.

Updated with data from September 2022, they reported 21 beds funded per month, providing 14.633 services (89% of the total target) and supporting 12.726 hospitalizations (78% of the total target) in the Geriatric and Palliative Care Unit.

The proposed goal was 26 beds, 1.368 monthly visits (16.416 annually), 1.368 monthly hospitalizations (16.416 annually), a 90%* reduction in falls, an 85%** reduction in hospitalizations, and the creation of 6 annual events***.
