Rio de Janeiro is already different. It remains beautiful, but different. On the eve of the Olympics, the city has already changed its appearance with the temporary structures built for the event, which will be dismantled after its conclusion.

One large temporary structure that deserves mention is the Beach Volleyball Arena. Located in Copacabana, a place closely linked to the sport, the arena includes 8 courts: 1 for games (men's and women's), 5 for training, and 2 for athletes' warm-up, all made of sand and divided by a net.

Beach volleyball is part of everyday life in Rio de Janeiro and has been part of the competition since 1996. This year, the magnificent Copacabana beach will serve as its backdrop.
